Four days of wildlife with the human landscape woven in — at Maasai invitation, not a show.
Northern Tanzania is not only animals. This itinerary spends proper time in the Serengeti, then walks the human side of the highlands with families we have known for a decade — a boma visit that happens because the guides are family friends, with cattle, stories and tea rather than a craft market. We limit this departure style to a handful a month so it stays genuine on both sides.

Arusha to Ndutu via the highlands
Ngorongoro / Ndutu
Through Karatu's coffee country, down the Olduvai escarpment, and onto the short-grass plains. Afternoon game drive among the herds.

Ndutu / Southern Serengeti
Dawn with the herds, midmorning with the cheetah families, and a long afternoon loop past Lake Masek. November to March this is the season's best game.

A morning drive west, then an afternoon in the highlands with our guides' families — cattle, stories, and the walk to the water with the kids. Evening on the crater rim.

Is the community visit staged?+
No — it is a working boma with families our senior guides are related to or have known for years. Photography is by permission, conversation is real, and the visit is genuinely two-way.
When is calving season?+
Late January to early March on the Ndutu plains — hundreds of thousands of wildebeest calves in three weeks, with the predators that follow. Extraordinary and often overlooked.
